Four stages, and what you hold at the end of each.
We design the build-out. We do not swing hammers — which means the work has to be clear enough that whoever does can price it and build it without guessing.
01
Discovery and measure
We walk the space with a tape and a camera, and we walk your business with you: what sells, what sits, when the room is full, and what you are tired of explaining to customers from behind the counter.
You receive
- A measured as-built plan of the existing space
- A written program — every zone the shop needs, and how much room each one has earned
02
Concept and zoning
Where each zone goes, and why. This is the stage that decides whether the shop works, and it is decided in plan before anything gets expensive.
You receive
- Two or three zoning options drawn in plan
- The tradeoffs of each, written out — what each option costs you in browse space, sightlines, or event capacity
03
Design development
The chosen plan becomes real: case runs and heights, millwork at the counter, the lighting layout, materials, and finishes. Anything that will be touched a hundred times a day gets specified deliberately.
You receive
- Elevations for every wall that carries product
- A fixture and case schedule
- A lighting plan with fixture types and aiming
- A materials and finish board
04
Documentation
Everything gets dimensioned and annotated into a set a contractor can bid from without calling you daily to ask what was meant.
You receive
- A dimensioned construction drawing set
- Specifications for fixtures, finishes, and lighting
Start at stage one.
Discovery begins with a conversation about the space and how you want the shop to run.
